Trustworthy partner at customs

As a certified “Authorized Economic Operator” (AEO), ERBE has had the highest status of trustworthiness at customs since summer 2011.

AEO In order to fulfill the conditions of the security concept at the customs department, it was necessary for ERBE to demonstrate high quality and security characteristics in administration and execution of its logistics processes.

As an AEO, ERBE only commissions AEO-certified freight companies. These in turn work also with AEO service providers, etc. This results in a uniform, transparent supply chain based on unified standards which offers a high level of security against terrorism.

The AEO certificate is recognized in the EU. The EU and other countries are working with the USA on mutual recognition of their country-specific systems. For the USA, this is the “Customs-Trade Partnership against Terrorism”, C-TPAT.

The AEO certificate forms the grounding for various simplifications in customs procedures. Imports and exports are notified electronically and can be used or shipped without a detour via the customs house. Taxes and duties are charged through a collective invoice.
