Merkel and Rösler at the ERBE booth at MEDICA 2010
The Chancellor and her Health Minister tested medical technology made in Tübingen.

For the first time in its 41-year history, MEDICA ̶ the world’s leading trade show for medical technology ̶ was opened by a German Chancellor. |
Christian O. Erbe: “As the Deputy Chairman of the Electromedical Technology Association of the Central Electrical and Electronics Association (ZVEI) I’m pleased about this, because it demonstrates the importance of the healthcare industrial sector. I’m even more pleased that the Chancellor visited ERBE as the first company on her way through the industrial exhibition.”

The Chancellor showed great interest in how to use the new BiCision instrument, which we are presenting to the public for the first time at this trade show. As a physicist, she asked very detailed, discerning questions about the instrument’s principle of operation, especially concerning the sealing of blood vessels. |
