Merkel and Rösler at the ERBE booth at MEDICA 2010

The Chancellor and her Health Minister tested medical technology made in Tübingen.

Bundeskanzlerin Dr. A. Merkel eröffnet MEDICA 2010 For the first time in its 41-year history, MEDICA  ̶   the world’s leading trade show for medical technology  ̶  was opened by a German Chancellor.
Christian O. Erbe: “As the Deputy Chairman of the Electromedical Technology Association of the Central Electrical and Electronics Association (ZVEI) I’m pleased about this, because it demonstrates the importance of the healthcare industrial sector. I’m even more pleased that the Chancellor visited ERBE as the first company on her way through the industrial exhibition.”

Chancelor A. Merkel and Minister P. Rößler am ERBE-Stand auf der MEDICA 2010 The Chancellor showed great interest in how to use the new BiCision instrument, which we are presenting to the public for the first time at this trade show. As a physicist, she asked very detailed, discerning questions about the instrument’s principle of operation, especially concerning the  sealing of blood vessels.
