Using the EIP 2 irrigation pump the target tissue is cleansed of faeces, food remnants, clots or blood. Particularly during endoscopic procedures this lavage improves visibility of the site. EIP can be activated during intestinal irrigations either simultaneously or supplementary to diagnosis and therapy. This permits the physician to dispense with the use of an additional irrigation catheter which is both cost-intensive and requires additional staff. |
