ERBE HybridKnife
Electrosurgical and waterjet surgery technologies combined in one instrument
|
The flexible, multi-function probe combines electrosurgical and waterjet surgery technologies in one instrument The benefits of this combination is outstanding. For example in Endoscopic Mucosal Dissection (ESD) all working steps can now be performed with just one instrument. |
|
The electrosurgical function
Marking, incision/dissection and coagulation is performed with the electrosurgical tip, whichvaries in length and is suitable for use in the esophagus, stomach and colon. |
|
The waterjet function
The mucosal elevation is carried out with the waterjet function. |

VIO® GI-Workstation
Apart from ESD and EMR, the fully equipped GI workstation provides further areas ofapplication in the gastrointestinal tract. We recommend the VIO 200 D with additional modes for coagulation of bleeding. The optional APC 2 module (Argon Plasma Coagulation) allows for non-contact coagulation of selective and surface bleeding. The ERBEJET® 2 provides quick and safe mucosal elevation for endoscopic resection. And the EIP 2 endoscopic irrigation pump ensures a clear view of the target area. |

The 4 ESD working steps with just one instrument
To perform the 4 working steps ? marking, elevation, incision/dissection and coagulation ? no change of instruments is necessary. Switching over can be done at any time between steps. Read more about it. |
The advantages of the HybridKnife for ESD
- No change of instrument necessary, thus shorter operating times
- Particularly fast mucosa elevation
- Considerably larger fluid cushion than one created by conventional needle injection
- Elevation medium can be replenished quickly at any time
- Waterjet pressure can be adjusted depending on lesion, tissue layer and area of application
- HybridKnife can be used in any standard endoscope
