Liver resection with ERBEJET® 2
Minimal blood loss through waterjet dissection

The ERBEJET selectively differentiates between liver parenchyma, blood vessels and bile ducts. Soft parenchymal tissue is washed out, while the network of blood vessels is preserved and can be subsequently treated with little loss of blood. Effect 35 (detailed fig. 1) and a straight dissector with suction (detailed fig. 2) is recommended for liver surgery. |

Preparation and exposition of hepatic vascular structuresDuring resection of the liver the blood vessels and bile ducts are prepared and washed free of surrounding tissue. A cross-clamping of the blood supply to the organ (Pringle maneuver) is generally not necessary. |
