Vein Stripping with ERBOKRYO® CA
During the cryostripping of varicose veins the probe is inserted via an incision and pushed forward until reaching the point of insufficiency and the varicose veins are subsequently extracted.

Stripping of the insufficient great saphenous vein using a probe with an attached stripper tip (acc. to Babcock) has become a standard method for the surgical treatment of varicosis. The disadvantages of this method were nerve trauma, the formation of extensive hematomas and the necessity for a second, distal skin incision. Within the last years, the method of cryostripping, which made it possible to avoid these disadvantages, developed. In the 90s, first positive experience resulting from this method ( e.g. using the ERBOKRYO CA in correspondence with a rigid angiology cryoprobe) were published.Since then various vascular surgeons have adopted this effective, easily learnt technique which offers a high success rate, good cosmetic results and only requires a short procedure time. |
